Tips to Prevent Shaving Rash
Don’t panic! These simple tips in your daily routine will help
reducing the risk of having razor burns from shaving.
Tip 1: Invest in the right shaver and use the right technique
You need to select the right shaver and perform the correct
techniques to prevent in-grown hairs, razor bumps and reduce irritation. Some
electric shavers draw heat towards their head, this will cause inflammation and
irritation on your skin.
Whatever your need, Braun gives you the ultimate shaving
experience, the shaver to suit your skin needs with a performance you can rely
on. Try the world’s only Active Cooling Technology to smooth and calm skin
irritation.
Tip 2: How to prepare your face for the shave?
It’s proven to use foam or gel to soften your skin and to make it
less prone to irritations while shaving. However, if you prefer dry shaving
without foam, we recommend not to wash your face before you shave because the
skin tends to be slightly swollen after washing. In both cases, remember that
you must keep the pressure but you don’t need to push too hard as it might
increase the probability of having razor rash.
Tip
3: The worst thing to do is to ignore your skin after the shave
The post-shave is very important,
maybe even more important than the pre and actual shave itself. If you think
that you still have some in-growns, you can physically lift the in-grown hair
out with a pair of tweezers, but just be careful not to pull it out completely.
It will make the hair regrow deeper. Try using cold water or a cold towel over
your face to cool the skin and close the pores.
